Workshops are a fun, hands-on experience where the participants craft an item from beginning to end with us. Glad & Young staff will assist participants in basic leather working skills and design, while the participant does the majority of the work.

Workshops are a great activity for team building, a girls-night-out, an experiential gift, or a fun time to reconnect with friends.

Creative Workshop

Highly Classified Envelope

  • Our most popular workshop! In this workshop, Glad & Young staff will teach participants how to craft their very own leather wallet. This workshop is super fun and simple, even for people who wouldn't call themselves very creative. 

    During this 1-hour workshop, participants will paint their own leather wallet, add customizations by hand stamping, and complete a simple construction of the piece with a solid brass button snap. This workshop is approximately 1 hour in length.

Coaster Set

  • Give two, keep two, OR keep them all! In this 1.5 hour workshop, guests get the chance to create their own custom coaster set. Made out of thick-weight vegtable tanned leather, these coasters get better with age, AND they're a great conversation starter.

Meet-And-Greet Wallet

  • In this workshop, guests will get to paint, stamp, and assemble their very own business card holder. Our simple, no-sew design allows guests to test their leather working skills in this 1.5 hour workshop

Traveler’s Journal

  • Prepare to be the envy of every poet and corporate notetaker alike! 

    During this 2-hour workshop, participants will be able to paint patterns, hand stamp personalizations, and string together the (refillable) journal of their dreams. Practical AND fun?? Sign me up! 

    Each journal comes with three lined notebooks. This workshop is a great option for a team building or unisex groups.

Custom dog collar

Dog Collar

  • During this 2 hour workshop, participants will learn how to make a one-of-a kind leather collar for your dog or cat. Participants will learn basic leather working skills along the way including the use of hand tools, stamping leather, setting rivets, and installing buckles. 

    We will also give tips for creating eye-catching color schemes and palettes, all topped off with a name and address hand stamped right into the leather. By the end of the class, participants will have a finished product that will last a lifetime and be as unique as the furry friends we love. And to top it off, a portion of all proceeds from this workshop will be donated to the local Atlanta Humane Society!

Leather Marbling

Marbling

  • During this 2 hour workshop, Glad & Young staff will demonstrate and teach participants the ins and outs of leather marbling, along with tips for creating eye-catching color schemes and palettes.

    Participants will marble two sets of four leather coasters. A perfect opportunity to make a set for yourself and one for a friend. (Or keep both, we don’t judge!) You’ll have the option to add embellishments like edge painting and custom stamped messages. 

    They’re sure to be all the buzz at your next dinner party!
